Dates:

Thursdays, April 25, 2024 – July 18, 2024 (start could be delayed due to weather (see below on weather cancelations)). 

Times: 6:15 – Dusk (ends when your 6 games are over…). 

Location: Clintonwood Park, 6000 Clarkston Road, Clarkston MI 48348

Games Played: Teams will get to play 6 games per night! Each night play 2 teams, 3 games each (total of 60 games). DOUBLE most other local leagues!!! By Elite Sportsplex

Entry Fee: $440 Per Team ($110 per person) – save $ all summer long by bringing your own food & drinks!!   Contact us prior to payment to ensure there is still a team opening! Returning teams have first “dibs” until we are notified or 2 weeks before league starts.

DUE DATE: Team payments are due in full at least one week before the league start date. Team captains are responsible for sending in the payment in full.

Payout – League Play:
1st place team receives 100% free entry into the following season ($440)
2nd place team receives $100.
PLUS – Final Day Playoffs Payout:
1st place team receives $100 in final tourney (last day of league).

Basic League Rules:
Record scores after every game!!

Teams consist of two men, two women. Teams can play with a minimum of 2 players (any sex), max of 2 males. No referees, call your own faults. If there is a disagreement, replay the play.

All players must submit this waiver prior to playing in any Volleyball Crawl, LLC activities. Download, review, sign & return to chrisfsu2121@msn.com if you agree.

All games are rally scoring, up to 21, win by 2, cap at 25. Players can play a set position, they do not have to rotate (only have to rotate serve). Net serves are good. Players can set the serve.

Incidental net rule – If a player touches the net it is considered a fault unless the player is completely out of the play, or if it’s the players shirt, hat or hair that touched the net (incidental net touch, the net should move no more than 1/4 inch otherwise it is a fault). No guy/girl bump, set, spike rule ( the girl does not have to touch the ball if it is hit more than once).

All handset overs are “No Good”.

If the ball goes on to another court during play the ball is considered dead unless there is no play/players on the other court.

Sub-Rule: All teams can have anyone sub as long as there are two members of the team from the roster present & playing.

Playoffs: Best of 3. Games 1 & 2 are to 21, win by 2 cap @ 25. Game 3 (if needed) to 11 –> HARD CAP. Winner proceeds on & all others are welcome to stay & play drop in for the night of course!! Please start your games early or at least right on time so the finals are not played in the dark!!

If a team is unable to make a game day, a call or email to chrisfsu2121@msn.comat least 8 hours prior to the game is necessary. Teams get 1 “make-up day request” per season. Game(s) will need to be rescheduled with the other team prior to final tourney day. If a mutual agreement on a day cannot be met by both teams makeup day will be the Sunday before playoffs at 9:00 AM. If a team does not show, points will be awarded to the other team (winning by their win average (min of +2 points per game)). If both teams do not show teams will split the points.

Inclement Weather Cancelation Policy: League/tournament will be played unless lightning or a strong storm exists (just as a baseball game would). The Park has until 2PM day of league to make the call, the call will be posted to the league website & to the league Facebook Message on questionable days. If the league/ tourney must be canceled, it will be rescheduled ASAP. All games must be made up prior to final tourney otherwise resulting in 0 points (and a split W/L between teams). If a rainout occurs during gameplay, the game counts only if there is at least one team over 15 points otherwise game is to be replayed. If a game in the process and gets stopped due to weather, the game is FINAL. If under 16 points, the game is to be replayed on the make-up day or before. If the temperature is below 50 AND raining a cancellation may occur.

“Weather Cancelations Fudge Factor”: All games will be made up or league extended when possible. League can only be extended 2 weeks (so 2 weather cancelation days). If more are canceled due to weather, unfortunately, those days will not be made up (not enough time to do so).

The level of play is upper intermediate to A (advanced/ competitive).
